About Sandfeld A/S

From workshop to machine tool dealer
Sandfeld A/S traces its roots back to the early 1970s, when Bruno Sandfeld founded the company under the name Bruno Sandfeld Herning. In those early years, the business was a machine workshop servicing the region's sewing factories with pneumatics and mechanical repairs. Solid craftsmanship, but far from the company Sandfeld was to become.
The turning point came when Bruno bought his first welding machine from a small, newly started manufacturer called Migatronic, at the time operating out of a disused poultry farm. Bruno sold the machine on to a friend, bought another and sold that one too. This happened six times in a row, and Migatronic eventually asked whether Bruno might consider becoming an official dealer. He said yes, and with that the foundation of Sandfeld A/S was laid.
Agency portfolio built on travel and trust
In the years that followed, Bruno travelled to Spain, Italy and beyond, forging dealer agreements with a number of European manufacturers so that Sandfeld could cover the vast majority of the metal industry's machinery needs. The philosophy was straightforward: find the best machines, learn them inside out, and sell them with honesty and professional integrity.
Several of those agency relationships remain active today — including Erlo pillar drilling machines and Geka ironworkers — and reflect the long-term thinking that has always defined the company.
A generational transition with the course held steady
In 1993, Bruno's son Hans joined the company, and in 2004 a formal transition of ownership began. From the outset, Hans was clear that the direction was not to be changed, it was to be carried forward and strengthened. Sandfeld A/S is, and will remain, a company that sells both new and used high-end machine tools to the professional metal industry worldwide. At this point the company changed the name to Sandfeld A/S, and Arboga and Strands drilling machines, Bianco bandsaws, CMA drilling centers and tapping arms, Mackma tubebenders, MG and Nosstec sheet rollers and ZMM Bulgaria lathes were added to the portfolio.
In practice, this means we stay thoroughly informed about both our own products and those of our competitors. We are not interested in selling a machine — we are interested in selling the right machine. That takes advice rooted in the customer's actual needs and production setup, not in what happens to be in stock.
Experience and peace of mind
All of our machine tool specialists have more than 15 years of experience in the industry, and we are happy to put that experience to work for you, whether you know exactly what you need or would benefit from thinking things through from the ground up.
To ensure trouble-free operation, all of our used machines are tested and undergo a full service before delivery. This allows us to offer a level of assurance that is anything but standard in our industry, and one we are proud to provide.
